Why does my kitchen need make-up air?+

An exhaust fan pulls hundreds or thousands of cubic feet of air out of your kitchen every minute. If you don't replace that air with a make-up air unit, the building goes negative — doors get hard to open, gas appliances misbehave, and the hood can't capture grease properly. NYC code requires balanced make-up air, and we size it as part of the system.

Do you fabricate the grease duct on site?+

Yes. We fabricate and weld grease duct to NYC fire code — liquid-tight, continuously welded, and sloped to drain — which is what lets your system pass FDNY inspection and operate safely.

Can you fix an existing system that isn't drawing right?+

Often, yes. Poor capture, a smoky kitchen, or a negative dining room usually trace back to an exhaust/make-up air imbalance or an undersized fan. We assess the existing system and correct what's actually wrong instead of replacing everything.
